Acceptance Criteria
1). ACCEPTABLE MATERIAL.
Means the
following: residential (Non-Asbestos) asphalt
roofing shingles that are segregated, non-hazardous
and uncontaminated materials. Asphalt roofing shingles may include nails
and tar paper backing. Both Rooftop Recycling LLC and its Processing Facility
recognize that Customers may from time to time have very small amounts of
non-hazardous paper, plastic, metal and wood mixed with the recyclable shingle
material.
2). UNACCEPTABLE MATERIAL. NO HAZARDOUS
WASTE, PCB WASTE, SPECIAL WASTE, INDUSTRIAL PROCESSED WASTE, ASBESTOS (FRIABLE
AND NON-FRIABLE) MATERIAL, YARD WASTE, CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WASTE (WOOD,
PLASTIC, METAL, BRICK, BLOCK, PAPER), MUNICIPAL WASTE or COMMERCIAL WASTE WILL
BE ACCEPTED: Other examples of
Unacceptable Materials include: drummed waste, barrels, waste oil, petroleum
contaminated soil, asbestos siding, asbestos tile, asbestos roofing
materials (flashing, shingles, mastic sealer), commercial roofing material,
lead acid batteries, tires, propane tanks, cylinders, industrial processed waste
from factories, contaminated soil from brownfield cleanups and containers
containing paint or solvents. No cedar shake wood mixed with roofing
material. Customers found to contain any of
these items in their loads will be rejected. Costs associated with reloading
and removal of Unacceptable Material will be charged back to Customer.
3). NO SALVAGING:
No salvaging of any kind is permitted. People or person’s caught salvaging will
be prosecuted.
4). CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND USE
OF ILLEGAL DRUGS: Alcoholic beverages
and illegal drugs are not permitted on-site. Drivers under the influence of any
illegal drug or alcohol will be prosecuted.
5). LITTER AND DISCHARGE ONTO PUBLIC ROADWAYS OR
PRIVATE LAND: Haulers and solid waste
transporters are responsible for notifying Rooftop Recycling LLC management
within 48 hours if there has been a spill, leak, or discharge of material.
Hauler(s) are responsible for remediation of the spill, leak or discharge and
notifying the proper authorities. ALL LOADS MUST BE TARPED.
6). UNLOADING REQUIREMENTS.
No person may open their tailgate or un-tarp
their vehicle until they are located in the Processing Facility unloading area.
NO SMOKING.
There is no smoking allowed in the
Processing Facility unloading area.
MSHA Training Requirements: Because
the sites are on mining property, you may not get out of your truck unless you
have read and signed a site hazard recognition form, or are accompanied by an
experienced miner familiar with the site hazards.
